About Five by Tenn
Out of the Box's June 2022 production will be an evening of five Tennessee Williams one-act plays: “The Strangest Kind of Romance,” “The Last of My Solid Gold Watches,” “The Lady of Larkspur Lotion,” “Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen” and “Hello from Bertha.”

While each play is set within a rather shabby bedroom in a rather seedy location from East St. Louis to New Orleans, the audience is introduced to a delightful range of nine female and eight male Williams characters striving to survive and thrive within their less-than-fortunate situations. 

The evening, which will also include evocative musical interludes from the 1940s and 1950s, will bring laughter and tears from this brilliant painter of American scenarios.

​The production will be directed by Ward Nixon.
